Can you tell me which Radio you used there as i am contemplating a 315 or a 510 but think a non oem unit would give me more for my hard earned pounds?
I have seen loads on e bay but want one with Bluetooth gps rear cam as minimum.
Cheers.

As per my signature: Eonon GM5153. The software can sometimes crash but if you connect the bluetooth before starting navigation it seems to happen less.

Just read all the pages from your build , very very impressive , some of the things you have done are what I have in mind for mine so it's been a great help to see your progress.
You have a usb outlet installed, is this connected to your head unit ? Or are you using it as a charging point ?
Thanks for posting your progress ........Gary

Thanks for the positive feedback.

The USB is just a connection to the head unit. I just use a cigarette lighter adapter for usb charging. The main reason is that I very rarely need to use it.

Installed paddle shifter extensions today. Not sure if I'll keep them on but kinda like them so will see how they go.

One thing I have on my current car came from Australia as they were not available here, and I noticed you have the Vw versions on your cool van, so may I ask where you got them, headlamp protectors?, I have tried ebay etc and it only shows the later facelift versions. Thanks.
I just came across and on line accessory catalogue for VW UK.

02 Headlight protectors.*
Kit comes complete with two sets of stick-on decals to
convert head lamp beam for continental driving.
For Volkswagen Caddy 2004 model year onwards.
Part No. ZGB1T0072100 £34.47

They look like my protectors and I assume you don't have to put on the stickers to convert them for continental driving.

Swapped out my rear door jam plastic thingy (cannot think what it's actually called) today for a dark grey one. Thanks to nicholas787 for the dark grey trim pieces.

I also added a piece of pinch weld trim to the laminate flooring, just to finish it off a little better. Unfortunately it's not quite the right size. I've been trying to find something suitable for ages. This is actually for a 6mm pinch weld, I really need something at least 10mm wide.

I think the dark grey trim pieces suit my interior much better. I'll be fitting the rest that I already have soon and painting those I don't have to match.

Loads of other stuff going on with the van at the moment. I've been messing with shortened drop links as my mechanic said the knocking sound I've been hearing is the front ARB. I didn't agree but as he is suppose to know what he is doing I followed his recommendations. As I thought, it wasn't the ARB at all. The shortened links have made SFA difference, other than the hole in my wallet.

I suspect the issue is actually the top mounts so have ordered a new pair and will hopefully fit them up next weekend. Yep should have changed them when I did the VMaxx kit.

Also in the middle of building a bed/ storage unit for the back. It's base on a modified version of @mostlysimon s steel frame. I have widened it to fit my kitesurfing boards and all my kites. It will slide out to make a double bed as well as lift up to allow easy access for storage.

Image

I have also decided to raise the van up a couple of inches. I was away camping this weekend and with all the camp and kitesurfing gear the tires were riding on the guards!! I rearrange the gear moving all the heavy stuff forward of the rear axel and this gave me a little more room but I was really having to take it easy on the road.
