@ dan@biali, yes I’ve been thinking the same from a safety point of view and flat screens with no point of reference to where your finger is. It makes me wonder how car companies are getting away with it to be honest.

Damn it is so ugly ....

I hope the prices for the mk4 will fall after the release of the mk5 but if i see how ugly the new mk5 is, noone will buy it....

Did VW do teamwork with Dacia ? If you look on the sideview it looks like a logan....

And a view from behind it looks like a volvo ....

Only one point is better than the mk4 : they changed the suspension of the rear axle.

Parts are starting to show up on ETKA.
I thought I'd take a few snippets of the most interesting (for me anyway) difference, the rear suspension.

Shame they couldn’t have gone the whole hog and fitted independent rear suspension. I wonder how long it will take before aftermarket suspension is available?

Yea, I'd seen that, I did look for a better photo of it online.
I think the new rear setup will handle good, with or without load.
Should be simple to lower too.

I’m looking forward to seeing one when it’s had some mods done. It’ll be interesting to see if this one gains a following as the 9k and 2k have.
I’m also looking forward to seeing what mods people come up with too as I know there’s some very clever people on here.

Wish they'd hurry up and release it im hoping for a latest mk4 at the right money if they drop in price . 6 month to year old 1s are commanding top money at the moment .

Good to see VWCV UK finally but a brochure together.
Shame they didn't send emails to those subscribed for notification.
VWCV Ireland have had a LHD demonstrator doing the rounds for three weeks already.

We never received any updates via email which we subscribed to either, the last dealership we called in weren’t too interested in talking about the new model either.
The more I see of it, the more it grows on me, the only off putting thing is the sliding door rail sticking out.

Really liking the technology on the new model, it kind of mirrors the tech in our Volvo.

Think i will be keeping my old bus
