However big your trophy cabinet is, I think you’re going to need a bigger one!
Well done mate, a well deserved win indeed, looks like a nice part of the world too. I’ll see if I can attend next year.

Got a question for you mate…..
When you carpeted your van, did you put ply in the window spaces to give it the smooth look? If so, how did you get it to stay in place?
I’m thinking about fixing battens, but there seems to be no truly flat surface to fix them to. Also unsure weather to bond them or screw them in.

I noticed you’ve used an sqz box, did you put the reinforced end plate on it or 4th gear support

The reinforcement end plate won’t work with the SQZ box, and no I never installed the 4th gear support. My box had only done 2000 mile when installed and I’m only at 417bhp with 545Nm, plus I’m a sensible (ish) driver with no intention of ever tracking or dragging the van, so I personally didn’t see the need. If I’m proved wrong and it fails, then I’ll have a rethink of the gearbox/drive options at the time of repair.

Just read through far too many pages of build notes.
You sir, are a wizard.

Not much been happening on the van lately, and it’s a bit of a mess to be honest. Anyhow, over the last few days I thought I’d better get the underneath sorted before the salt comes, so brushed it all off and gave it a coating of Lanoguard.
Also fit the OZ wheels for winter. Still haven’t bothered getting them refurbished so they are an absolute mess, but it saves worrying about where to park it. Not a bad look for winter I suppose.

Ha ha honestly Steve it’s a mess, the photos are hiding a lot of filth. When your neighbor comments that your letting standards slip yo know you’ve took the no wash rule too far.
