The last 2 carbon parts arrived from Mr Carbon, an alternator end cap and the N/S chassis leg cable tray and harness cover. Spent this afternoon swapping them over and made a start cleaning up the engine bay in preparation for Players show next weekend. Hopefully another 2 full days on it and it shouldn’t be far away.

Your engine bay and engine looks awesome.
You will win many trophies with that engine bay.👌

It is a pleasure watching your progress and how much pride you take in your work. Sadly in today's society it's very scarce. I love the fact you're not afraid to make mistakes and are always thinking how you could make things better.

Credit to your dad, because the way in which you've tackled this build is a testament to how he brought you up.

Just being nosey, what kind of dogs do you have?

Thankyou very much for the kinds words.
You have to be prepared to fail or make mistakes in order to progress at anything, and I’ve made plenty of mistakes over the years.

I did have a working Springer Spaniel and a working Cocker Spaniel, but sadly my Springer past away last year. We now have 2 working Cocker Spaniels, with one being a 14 week old chocolate brown pup.

I read the first 20 pages and thought this van is mega and there's some serious time gone into this- then I skipped a few pages and saw the most recent photos/posts on the work- wow!

Congrats on the awards/features- well deserved - the effort and time you've put into this is incredible!

Thanks very much both.

Another day on the van continuing with operation “Daily Dog van to Show van” in preparation for Players Classic at the weekend. Got the front brakes/arches/suspension all cleaned up. Cleaned the rears and underneath again, and fit the Gold wheels. Changed the oil and filter, and the pollen filter (which was surprisingly full of dust for only 12 month old). Hopefully get the inside and engine bay finished tomorrow night, and then another day on it Thursday to finish off the paintwork. I’m really questioning if all this time/effort in a short time frame is really worth it, I much prefer just using it and tinkering away gradually.

My vans featured in this months VW Bus magazine. Stunning photos taken by MA Photoworx at “Got the Drop” show last year.

Cheers Steve.

Day one of Players Classic show done. Some unreal cars there, can’t wait to see what turns up tomorrow.
Also had a decent mini tour on the way down to break the 400 mile journey up a little.

Thanks Andy.

I’ll apologize for the thread spam over the coming days, but I’ve been sent 70 odd images taken by MA Photoworks for the magazine feature, so I’ll be adding them as and when I get free time over there he coming days.
