I could and probably will be looking at these photos for hours, what an amazing Caddy! If mine is ever close to half as good as yours I'll be happy

That's absolutely awesome, how many hours do you think you've got into working on the van now?

Thanks everyone, it’s very much appreciated. The van would never be what it is without this forum and some of its members.

@Adwano now there’s a question i probably wouldn’t want to know the answer to. If you ask my wife it’s far too many, ask me and its not enough. Either way it will be multiple thousands of hours as I’m generally tinkering and doing little bits every day at somepoint, even if it’s only 30mins or so.

Thank you.

It certainly isn’t always stunning photos and shiny stuff. I developed an air leak on my suspension last week, so today I got the ultrasonic leak detector out to aid diagnosis. Traced the issue to be one of the check valves passing.
Luckily I had some in hand after ordering a pair when I had freezing issues at winter.
After stripping the faulty one and seeing how much crud there was inside, I decided to replace both, installing new fittings and airlines while I was there.
The other wasn’t actually as bad but still was on its way so it was the right decision.

That's quite a build-up, have they been in since build?
Are they a serviceable item that you can strip and rebuild or maybe not expensive enough to warrant the effort every couple of years?

Still waiting on the headlight, so assembled the front bumper with all the freshly carbon skinned parts. I then cleaned up the rear suspension and brakes, replaced the rear leaf grease nipples and fit my new rear mudflaps.

Where are the grease nipples?!

Hi Doc, yeah they are the originals so been in around 2 1/2 years, so not too bad considering. I very nearly changed them when I had a couple of days of freezing at winter but they seemed to come OK. In hindsight it was maybe a warning.
Around £22 each for complete new items, and a service kit is $15 (yet to find any in the UK), if I manage to find UK stock I’ll probably refurbish these and hold as spares. I’ll definitely be replacing them every 2 year from now on.

Hi D866, the grease nipples are on the pivots of my rear leaf springs. If you don’t have ABP air suspension then you won’t have them.

Set up at “Wheels up North” show today. It’s a new show at Kendal. Looks to be plenty of variety, super cars, classics and modified.

Got sent some nice photos by Outback photography from the weekend. It’s alway good getting sent a bunch of photos from a show, as normally it’s as if the van was never there when looking for them.
Hopefully I’ll get some time to give the van a deep clean over the next few weeks, to get it looking it’s best for the forum stand at Tatton Park.
