Unfortunately the van would have been a much slower drive out and certainly no match to two EA888's
I had a fun drive out anyway, can't beat a bit of power...... all under 60mph of course

Am I right in saying the all track is different to the standard mk4 bumper? from what I saw on LLLParts it has extra cut outs I'm assuming for the lower spoiler?

I was told the other day you can just fit the lower spoiler from the all track over a standard mk4 which I don't believe to be true

Yeah that’s correct the Alltrack upper has a lot of cutouts in it to accommodate the lower section and splitter.
It might be possible to just cut all the tabs off the Alltrack lower part and bond it on, but it’s not something I looked at, or considered doing so can’t confirm if it’s possible sorry.

Do you still have a record of the part number?

There are two numbers on LLL Parts for the bumper which are 2K5807417G GRU and 2K5807417F GRU. From their descriptions I'm guessing the G comes without parking sensor holes where as the F does?

But by the looks of your thread the lower all track spoiler requires the parking sensor holes punching through?

Yeah you will need to add the parking sensor holes to the lower spoiler section, the specific punch’s make a neat hole and they are pre marked on the back to make things easy.

You don't happen to have a picture of the part number for the heater controls with heated seats? I know you've no longer got this as you have climatronic or what ever its called

I started reading this thread and thought, “Yeah, that’s a similar route that I’ll take”. By the time I got to the end, it definitely isn’t! Beautiful motor, and I’d love to go that far. But my days of going that all out are behind me.

Love the leather dash though, exactly what I was searching around to see if it’d been done. Dash and door card retrim will definitely be on the cards for me. Love the leather dash in my M4.

Will definitely be regularly using this thread for info/inspiration though.

Ha ha yeah it wasn’t the route I had planned for the van when I got it, but these vans get a strange hold of you once you start.

I’m sure I said I wouldn’t be doing this anymore….
Dirty underside, brakes and suspension got into my head, so I had to make a start cleaning and freshening it all up. It actually wasn’t as bad as I was expecting following the winter daily duties.
Black parts rubbed down and re-coated in POR15 and Silver parts in Rust-Oleum Metallic Silver.
One side done, hopefully I’ll get the other side finished tonight/tomorrow.

I’ve noticed on a few occasions that following some “spirited driving/heavy braking” that I’ve been burning a little oil, which is quite embarrassing if I’ve been playing with other road users (in Mexico obviously).
I therefore decided to fit an oil catch can to resolve the issue, after searching the market nothing really fit exactly for what I wanted, I either didn’t like the can or something else like having to lift the engine cover up. So I decided I’d spec my own setup.
I’ve used an APR catch can which I sourced from a tuning shop in America, mounting by a bracket I made and skinned in Carbon (I also replaced all the catch can bolts for Black versions). A CTS Turbo breather plate, Bartek elbow adapter and AN10 hoses all supplied by Custom Vag Parts.
I ended up changing all but one of the fittings on the hoses (two straights and one 120 degree used), to get the pipes routed exactly how I wanted.
Overall I’m happy with how it’s turned out, I’m just hoping it won’t cause any issues over winter when the temperature drops but we’ll see.
