I'm not sure if you can get the trays with lids cheaper , but imo cheaper is not always better , also I've already done the glove box on mine fella

Fitted new stalks with Lane Assist and seperate lever for CC.

As Lane Assist stalks work with module which part number ends with 569 (and a letter) I had to change some more stuff to fit. I described it here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23544

You need to change the country details to Australia. I think that there is a European rule that requires speedos to show mph & kph which presumably doesn't apply in Australia.

The mod gives the option of switching off alt. speed display on the mfd settings; after which it shows the digital speed as one of the pages with fuel consumption trip time etc. If you switch alt. speed back on the digital speed page disappears.

Hardwired my TomTom mount into the dash top tray.

Folds down when not in use and the lid can shut.

Swapped the non DAB RCD310 for a DAB RCD510.

Much easier to use the phone without having to fiddle with the steering wheel stalk. And a better picture for the reversing sensors with the ability to mute the bleeper (I couldn't find a way to mute with the RCD310).

Fitted a DAB roof antenna and a pair of mid/treble speakers in the vacant dash speaker grilles.

Replaced radio with RNS 315,

Bit of luck looking at e-bay last night found a beige passat interior light for mic shot out this morning and picked it up all fitted, all I need now is a new can bus gateway as my motor suffers from poss battery loss due to age.Shifted arial to top of screen I was getting signal loss but I now know the problem.

Just picked the van up from the paint shop. Photos to follow once I get my rear badge fitted. The original got bent when it was removed so I'm waiting on a replacement to arrive.

Further to removing my near side sliding door handle to my gate post, I have now replaced the handle, but had a job locking the door with the remote. After quite some considerable puzzling & time I finally found the fault.
When I recoupled the electronics I managed to mix the two connectors. Having swopped them over - all is fine. -duh!

My caddy 1.9 today . Only had it 3 months and decided to get right into this. Got a 1.6 maxi 2011 which I am now away camping in.
