It's a shame that on both barn door versions the reflectors are intermixed with the light panels themselves. You don't get the contrast when the lights are switched off, but that's just me being fussy. I'm amazed they fit.

Am i missing something obvious here? But our doors are rounded and the new light is angled corners. Eh, how does that fit?

I was thinking the same? must be that the barn door model uses the old shape doors and the new lights are shaped differently between the barn door and tailgate models?
either that or tunngkingz who's van is in the pics are producing there own new styled lights to fit old vans had a look on there website and they do make aftermarket lights but I can't translate the website well enough

Anyone know what the differences between the "tailgate" and "barndoor" variants of the current (2011-2015) lights are?
Here are the current part numbers:
http://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/za/caddy/ ... 45-945000/
It *looks* like the difference is in the trim (also for the "wiper"/"no wiper" variants), but it would take a side-by-side comparison if anyone has both variants lying around...

Tailgate version wont have the rubber boot for the door loom so the trim piece wont be notched to fit around that.
Otherwise, the pre 2016 lights are the same for double door and tailgate.

When you add up all the listed parts for the mirrors, they will be in excess of £250 for a pair.
£110 of that is just the glass.
