Do your indicates still look amber/yellow when on and does your reverse light now look pink? Ive wanted to do this mod since I bought my van but cant bare the thought of having to take the lights back in and out if the indicators aren't the right colour ( read as I would sell my van before having to fit the plastic cover back for no reason!)

Correct me if im wrong, I haven't worked on my caddy stereo yet, but don't you just need to relocate the red (positive) wire in the connection block rather than wiring it up to the fuse box? This is what I have done for my other VWs historically.

If there were a ignition live in it that would work. Mine only has 1 permanent live

Finally fixed my poxy implausable signal to me cam sensor
Spent hours stripping loom getting a Ecu that was dead then a new one and got let down by a mate to code it in then I got a AQ Ecu with the immobiliser removed so I could solv the cam issue and get my 6th gear cruise working
Also at the start of it all I fitted 2 cam sensor a cheap from from
Andrew page
Then a top end one from German and Swedish didn't fix it
So gave up after stripping loom and waiting now
I got a digital ociloscope to check sensor and bought a 3rd new sensor
Guess what 7 months later it's now fixed I manage to buy 2 new sensors that were faulty
How's that for luck
At least I have a Ecu waiting to be re immobilised and remapped that works in 6th gear cruise

I changed the oil and filter then painted the steel wheels and gave it a wash then wax, I will have to keep my eye on eBay for some alloys turning up locally, I am still in the starting blocks with my caddy while some of you have past the finishing line.

I have had it a week now and my intention is to tax it from the 1st October (so on Sorn at the moment) You wouldn't believe how many hours I have spent on it already, it was a works van.
