Today I've installed my Sharkvin with a friend of mine.
First of, we started cleaning the roof on the spot where the Sharkvin was to be installed:

After that, we measured where it should be installed:

Then we put some tape on the roof so we could draw the drilling point:

Then we drilled the hole:


And then we installed it:




Now I'm enjoying the better reception on my radio as well as a better gps connection.

I've also installed V13 maps on my RNS so I've got the new areas covered.

Now trying to find out how to replace my ABS computer without disconnecting the pipes.
According to @Doc it's an easy job, but I think it's a time consuming job.

After that my car is ready for my new colour cluster, which I bought from @Adam87

That will be installed on Tuesday.

Good stuff, abs module is about an hour, airbox, battery and tray out then unbolt the 3 bolts that hold the module to the pump and it pulls off, also link wire in plug needs moving to different pin, sounds worse than it is.

Be good to see it fitted

Well that's where the English (and Irisch I guess) vans are different I think. My ABS sits behind the turbo and inlet hose. So it's on the passenger side on a LHD. (Or on the left side if you're standing in front of the van facing the front window.)

I need to take out the hose and maybe even the cooling fluid reservoir.

Doc told me which pin to swap so that's the easy part.

This one doesn't, but they are also available with DAB+

Then you'll have two radio antennas in it.

I put mine at the front to clear the roof rails.

No, it's supposed to be at the front. Under the roof in the front is an antenna patch

cheers i already have the DAB version to fit but was gonna fit it to the rear

My van belongs to the job but I've added a few bits to make my life more comfortable. Parrot Asteroid Tablet and a brodit mount to hold and charge my lumia 640xl.

Changed the heater knobs too. Theres a piece of trim missing from the inside of the door that covers the wing mirror bolts on the passenger side thats missing and bugging me so thats next on the list with the bulkhead covers from Tommyzoom.
