So for those interested in the slight changes to the Hulk mobile, here's a little build thread ;)

Take one show winning van and strip the front off.
Image

Trial fit the new parts.
Image

Cut the Touran bumper to accept the Golf GTI lower section.

Now the fun starts

Image

The inner arch needed modifying to follow the new side panel shape.
Image

On with the new side.
Image

We agreed with Chris that the square filler cap didn't suit the large clean side panel so a replacement was found.
Image

Image

Out with the old.
Image

In with the new.
Image

Front wheelarches tucked/rolled.
Image

Primer time.
Image

Things had gone too far by now to keep the van red so time to strip for a colour change.
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Front crossmember had to be modified so the toe eye was inline with the golf bumper.
Image

Back in the booth for the calipers to be painted gloss black.
Image

Sump gaurd on.
Image

With a bit of gloss black on the mouldings, mirror bases, door pillars and grilles we don't think it turned out too bad in the end.

Twins.

Awsome van Chris. And as always Matt, Awsome work. If only I had enough spare change to leave it with you. One day maybe :)

Why don't you start offering this front end conversion..

Cheers Rob, we do but the bumper is too expensive to build as it costs about £600 in parts plus an awfull lot of hours to sculpure it. We are going to look in to getting it produced but i don't want it in fibreglass.

LOVE THIS VAN! Congrats on the awards mate, so well deserved. I'd love to have my van upto this standard but I'd never be able to use it for work then

Love the mirrors, I'm after a set for mine. Really impressive work matt.
