Added a little leather today.

Please excuse the terrible photos. The camera on my phone really is disappointing.

The gaiter for the DSG shifter is not complete. The plastic trim it attaches too broke when I was trying to attach it to the leather. These are stapled at the factory and I couldn't get staples to go through it. I had used glue on the gaiter I removed that was imitation leather. The new one is genuine leather and a lot thicker.

Of course you cannot buy the replacement piece of plastics so I'm not sure what I will use instead.

I really need to do something about the area with the cup holders. I don't like it being the light grey colour, especially with the black arm rest and dark grey surround by the shifter.

My OCD just cannot handle it...

Added some LED parking lights today. Have a pair of Cree reverse lights to go in tomorrow once I finish my latest armrest mod.

Next up I need to change the H1's and H7's to something a little less yellow.

Will be ordering my lowering kit in the next couple of weeks. Not sure what to go for yet. Will be coilovers and I suspect the Bilstein set from Darkside but still yet to make up my mind.

Checked out the KW option but they're out of my price range even though I can get them locally here in Australian. Seems all other options have to come from the UK so I need to factor in freight.

Before I commit I'm going to check out some more Golf MK5 options from here in Oz and maybe just order the shackles from Darkside.

Hmm what to do, what to do??

Made a slight modification to my Armster armrest using the top of the armrest from the MK6 GTI I got when I bought the seats.

re arm-rests, do a google on wreckers in New Zealand, Iam led to believe that Tourans were sold there, at least car sales nz or trade me show plenty.
