Hi mate I'm sure it did before but not 100% sure only noticed now its dark in the mornings I've been looking at all the coding changes I've done but can't seem to find anything about the side door light. Its doing my head in now

I am still trying to work out which adaptation will allow comfort lighting of the front interior light - active on unlock

I have already got them set to active. Iv got the interior lights on with CH/LH iv got it set like this mate

Is that all you did to get CH/LH lights working?

On mine it just comes up as 'not installed' so i haven't tried, but i was also told they won't work as there is no rain/light sensor behind the rear view mirror, or auto wipers.

Thanks i might give it a go later. What year is your Caddy btw? Or do you have the PN for your 09 module? I know they changed BCM's so it might be that it just wont ever work on mine, or from certain dates onwards.

Another guy was posting on here about coding the CH/LH function. He oded his but the function still didn't work.

Did enabling the CH/LH function, activate the interior cab light (comfort lighting) on unlock as well? Its a pain in the ass that the whole van stays in complete darkness when its unlocked, especially at night, and being rural with no outside street lights nearby!

Just thinking that if you reversed the CH/LH coding, if that killed off the interior cab light on unlock, it might bring back the load light?

I had a go at coding the "Assistant light function in the rain" but that killed the wipers and poor weather/cornering lights. I managed to get the wipers working again, but could never get the cornering lights back, so booked it in to the dealer and told them they just stopped working, so they managed to code them back in under warranty! Thinking about it now, a lot of the lighting functions are tied into the rain/light sensor behind the mirror, which the UK models don't have.

Having said that, i am sure they could see the messing about i did with OBD now, due to the token that was generated to remove the SFD protection on the 09 module

Yes when I enabled CH/LH it activated the interior light to come on when I unlocked the van. I've been playing about with the coding for weeks tho working out how to get the 30 colour ambient lighting to work like the mk8 golf

There was a guy on the VCDS forum who managed to get his working, although he is in Europe and i think the modules might be different.

Back to your load light not coming on with the side door, something in the back of my mind, is thinking that as you have enabled the CH/LH function which for some reason has activated comfort lighting, somewhere in the config, there has to be a setting that enables it, as in effect, what you have done now is turn it into a passenger variant.

If you think about it, with the passenger model, you want the whole interior lighting to come on whichever door you open, whereas on the van, there is no point in the cab light coming on if you are just opening the load doors.

OBDII there is a lighting section and i found under interior light settings - "Interior light activation by opening trunk". Mine is set to not active?

I know this only relates to the cab light but might work?

Also, do you have the factory led headlights or just standard halgens?

Would you believe it, i have just coded in CH/LH lights, and for some reason, my cab light still doesn't illuminate when i unlock, but the LH lights come on as expected.

However, once i open the side door, the load light comes on as before, but then turns off the LH lights before the set time.



Mine still has 20 in that line, but how did you code that back to 20?

On mine, it comes up with current value and then 0-FF?

Also, compared to your pic, my output lin5 light function slave 3 & 4 are set to 0, but your has 7 & 8.

In fact, the whole list in my light router config is set to 0 except the one above set to 20.

Since I changed output bcm krl back to 20 my cab light doesn't come on with the CH /LH lights but I can cope with that now my load light comes on with the side door open. I've changed output line functions for the ambient lights thats why they are different to yours was trying different functions they are all back to 0 now
