Van looks absolutely fantastic the forum needs people like you to push the boundaries and show us all what can be done and give us something to inspire too. Hats of to you and the team behind this epic van.

Hi, A really nice caddy.
Why a split bulkhead?

Re: My Caddy 'R' build thread
No number plate solution. Reckon number plate tape and then carefully peel it off at a show. Or
May cable tie it to the lower grill although I'm not massively keen on that.
What do you mean Henk?! I don't have a bulkhead in the back.

I got a local trimmers to cover the headlining in a grey fabric. Looks oem although perhaps their quality isn't! I suspect that will be on the future updates list.

Re: My Caddy 'R' build thread
I keep forgetting to mention I asked Reflex to paint the harness slots as figured with all the grey and black, the interior needed just a hint of colour.

I'm all set for Show&Glow. Its as clean as I can get it before the drive up there. At least I've washed it which always makes a vehicle feel like yours! Dooka has done such an amazing job, the dirt more or less fell off with just the hose (didn't even bother with the jet wash!). Hoping the weather holds out for the drive up there. Sorted the fuel issue and now have just enough to get me to Bluewater but as I go passed Clackett Lane services, I can always pop in and top it up if I think its going to be tight.
Hopefully see a few of you in the morning although I'm going to be a bit of a zombie!

Absolute awesome Caddy you've built bud, read all your thread and as I'm on dookas f/b page watched him detailing it! For your front plate I don't know if you've seen these before, there's an English translation link on top of page

Re: My Caddy 'R' build thread
It was an absolute pleasure working on your van Dan..
A massive pat on the back to you and the Reflex boys, this van has been so well thought out and put together. It is more factory than a VW factory could manage, and if VW were to make an R Caddy, it would look like this

Re: My Caddy 'R' build thread
I'll say it again Rob, the work you have done on the van is incredible. All it took today was a going over with a detail spray (used the Optimum No Rinse you recommended) and it looked like this:

As a result of everyone that has helped to build this, I got awarded this:

The Meguiars judges picked the Caddy R as one of 5 cars at the show that they would like to take home as theirs. High praise indeed.
