interested in these mate.. more info? Do these plug and play?
No, you need to repin the plugs (pin configuration changed from Caddy 3 -> 4), and you need to code or bridge out the missing reverse light or you'll get a bulb error on the MFD.

Interesting, not sure who can code in my area.. so if its only a bulb error, i could probably live with it till i find someone

You need VAGCANPro for 2011- models, or VCDS for -2010 models. You can also bridge wires on BCM or put in a resistor if you can't code it out. Or get RHD (assuming NL) driver side light and modify the light for 2 reverse lights (like I did).

Yeah I have an idea and I’m hoping it’s something like, it’s either going to work or I’m going to look like a tit
Well, I'd say your colour van is the only colour it could work with, but you might need another accent (like an orange grill badge you can swap around with the wheels).

Yea your assumption is correct , sorry for not totally following you, but how did you modify the lights? Is there a DIY in the tech section, will get access soon

I bridged the fog light circuit to the brake light inside the light, so if you turn on the fog light the brake light (just on that light) comes on. The reverse (which is missing on the standard driver side light) is wired to the reverse on the RHD (in your case) light for that side. Everything works as expected, with no bulb warnings and no mods to the car electronics. I did make a guide in the "member" section. There are also guides there for all the other ways to get around the bulb warning. The most complicated (needs VAGCANPro and additional software) fix involves rewriting the BCM configuration. That is equivalent to setting up the BCM the same way as VW does for the newer Caddys. That method also allows you to set the brake light segment as "position light" to match the light pattern on the newer Caddys (if that aesthetic is important to you).

Thanks for the great explanation! Will check your how to out once i get access, good to know it is doable and works! Thanks again
Sure thing. Each of us sharing our discoveries/experiences etc. is what makes this forum a great place for Caddy modding information. Welcome!

Yeah I have a can of orange plasti-dip which I’m going to take the badges apart and spray the back and then put them back together
Decided to get the new lights on after work using the how to guide. Great step by step instructions made it a doddle (apart from that bloody plastic cover that's a pain to get back on)
