Great job!
Is this working from any temperature? Just switch on and off? And how warm will it get?
Is this also possible to integrate this in the verhicle system?

You can connect it to the ecu instead of a switch. Then the van controls it. Monitors outer temp, engine temp and other parameters, but I want to switch it on and off myself. It's only for those freezy mornings.
Blows extreme hot air in 30 seconds, but it was 15°C today, the final test needs a little more winter. :)

Interested in this , where did you purchase and is it a genuine Vw part , when you say extreme heat it has to be a safe heat with all that plastic around I’m guessing, is there an how to , sorry for all the questions vizidomar .

Hiya
New member here. Been a busy week. Insulated and carpeted the back.
Then ducked away for a surf with the interior in pieces.
Really diggin the fuel economy of these wee vans!

@peely
it's an original vw part, 1K0 963 235 G. There is a slot for it in every caddys. completely safe.
you can find a lot of info on this forum.
but the one on the mkV thread is a different type with can controll and integrated smd relays, 1K0 963 235 E. a lot of vw's had burnt out
because of that, so I don't recommend that type.
maybe I will write a howto later

It’s a retro fit mate on lower spec vans , maybe high line has them 👍

Mines a trendline, there is a way apparently, but I'm no electrician or coder haha, just tapped into the headlight switch, does the job

Hi All,

Planning of a turbo swap out later... hopefully not going to be too painful on a 1.9 TDI (out the top I reckon)..

Today......

312mm front brakes arrived.....calipers and carriers and discs with pads......second hand off of fleabay.......yep I know I dont need the calipers but all as a bundle.......so I will probably take mine off and refurb/paint them and sell them, or keep them as spares.

So now looking for some bigger wheels to allow me to fit them......Audi fat fives are my current favourite choice.

Tomorrow......

Searching for 256 rear set up bits......

Led strips off eBay £5.
Came with a cigarette lighter adaptor, cut that off, and connect to an earth and the light blue wire behind headlight switch.
