Still busy with the van, just being a bit useless taking progress photos.
Got the engine out of the white van and removed all the charge pipes, turbo and loom; will start unwrapping the new engine loom tomorrow to relocate the connectors that need moved.
Added the braided clutch hose and some more heat management to the engine bay.
Also cleaned the front arches and front section of floor, then coated in Dinitrol metallic; perfect colour under seal for a toffee brown van

Unwrapped the new engine loom today and moved the turbo related connectors to the appropriate positions, removed the wiring for the DSG coolant valve that’s not required.
I did indeed on taking a laid out finished photo, but as usual forgot so just had to take some with it back on the engine.

L380X Turbo installed, clutch replaced with the RTS twin plate, charge pipes installed and a Funk Motorsport Turbo blanket fit. Then got the engine mounted, still waiting for parts to turn up so won’t be able to take it much further until they arrive, so I’ll probably get the fuel tank removed next and make start on the rear end.
