am near inverness, just heard on the great vine that the original bumpers were a nightmare to get paint to stick to so wondered if wrapping would work and be a slightly cheaper option, plus might not chip so easy?

No mate if the painter knows what he's doin there will be no issues painting the bumpers,
If you were closer to me I'd get my painter to do them for you, he paints for the local BMW dealer and is spot on, find a good body shop and you'll be fine

Any plastic is a nightmare to paint if not prepped properly, although most problems happen at a later date when the paint chips and peels off..

It is all in the prep when painting plastics. I usually prep myself and get my paint guys to just paint with base and clear..

Highly doubt wrapping plastic bumpers with the texture on it, is not going to stick at all?

As far as I know the bumpers gotta be painted for the vinyl wrap to adhere, got told this a while back by a Graphics Co that I deliver for.

Not true, you can buy vinyl that will stick to a brick wall
