Rear Seat Conversion

Post by concept »

Looking to buy a Caddy and get rear seats fitted so I can use it for work and personal/family bits.

Having skimmed the info out there on seat conversions, can I so if any of you have them, put baby seats in them?

Using existing seat fittings and seatbelt mounts, surely it's all ok, but 1st time dad, so just making sure :D

We fitted our own rear seat conversion into the Caddy & strapped my son in...

We used S/Steel 12.9 bolts & fitted spreader plates

Sent all the info including pictures to the insurance company & DVLA with no issues

If its done correctly what price do you put on safety???

A few members have done this conversion DIY but if you want DVLA & Insurance approved fitment its best to get the correct certificate

Give Colin a call at http://www.oxfordt5.co.uk/ he fits seats to VW T5's but he does provide a certificate & may be able to help you

When put like that, you're dead right.

Will do some research.

Cheers
