Cheers bud, yea I just used rattle cans!PaulC61 wrote:Loving the colour of the steelies subtle but effective, good job. Did you use just rattle cans? What colour is the top coat?
I'm going to be putting my steelies back on for winter so this may a nice little project to do.
Colour is Rover Gunmetal was bit doubtful about it but happy with them now!
May redo them one day as had to rush them over the weekend!

Re: My First Caddy
Few small updates..
Got an already carpetted ply kit cheap off another member so just need some carpet to finish the odd metal bits and arches!
Managed to get a pair of fli speakers for peanuts so mocked up some wooden rings to keep them cheap!
Then finally i spotted a set of Audi A1 heater vents for a good price so may try make them fit when I get time! Any advice would be great!

Re: My First Caddy
So today I got a deal on some Touran carpets to ditch the rubber, dark door cards, touran 4 pods which I’m looking to split and paint and an undertray fingers crossed it fits!
Should come up with a quick clean!

Re: My First Caddy
Thought I’d make a start on the door cards before I bother fitting them!
As the handles look rough i thought I would paint them and ditch the rear window switches while I’m at it!
Switches removed and bit of fibreglass ready to fill!

Nice van mate. I’ve just picked up an 08 1.9tdi. I’ve got a lot of Touran parts with it. How hard was it to fit the center console? Did the asr switch fit straight into the new console?

@Generous182
Hi mate, I’d suggest taking the seats out for better access and you need to trim the rear of the console to fit against the rear floor (there’s threads on here) and the switch tray remains the same!

One step closer to having the door cards ready to fit!
Handles are now ready for paint and Iv cleaned the cards and thankfully they came up really well!
Unsure between gloss or satin black?

Good effort on the door handle!
I'm enjoying the thread, keep the pictures and mods coming!

Re: My First Caddy

I’m still planning to use the 4 way switch just with the bits I don’t need removed so it’ll clip in just as it did before.Doc wrote:Does the 2 door switch fin in there properly instead of the 4 switch version?
