No I didn’t spec the colour change driver as I’d never use it, I believe it could be added easily enough (without strip down) if I changed my mind. They do have switch back on the angle eye DRL’s which I think is pretty cool.

Little bit more done on the front end. Everything stripped, cleaned, painted and behind arch liners waxoyled. Hopefully get the suspension on tomorrow.

Got the MeisterR coilovers, Whiteline 24mm antiroll bar and front brakes on and bled up.
Relocated the washer bottle (in prep for the MK7.5 hybrid bumper with fog lights to go on). Had to sacrifice a spare bottle filler neck for the 90 degree bend, but at least it sort of looks factory (to a blind man on a horse).Image
Also fit MK7 golf dual tone horns and done the “must do” cable tie mod to the bonnet cable junction.

Awesome mate, you must have been at a decent level?
They are for a MK5 golf GTi (55mm) which are the same as a caddy. Had them on my White Caddy for a few month and they felt spot on.
Ha ha, the sad thing is the van will really only be used for transporting my dogs and bikes about . Although I have been know to get carried away some times on the back roads up here .

MK7.5 GTi hybrid bumper on, took longer than expected due to making up the fog light adapter looms, plates to fill the gaps between the arch liners/bumper and adding a few hidden fixings. I’ve seen too many of these bumpers being stolen lately, so the horrible gets will have to wreck it if they want mine.
I’m really pleased with how it’s looking now.
Just the front doors to silent coat, engine bay to sort and few other jobs then it will be on the road. ImageImage

Don’t worry the plates did get tidied up and painted black, just I got carried away and never got a photo of them finished and fitted.

I did have a photo from when they were built but can’t find it . The cut off was perfect very defined. Haven’t tried them at night so can’t comment on the output but I’ll give an update when I start using it in a few weeks time.

i love those always my first choice when i have xenons. got a pair of d1s just waiting for some projectors and spare lights to fit them too :) then think ill go a biled projector for the high beam part of my headlight and run it as dip and highbeam so it will be instant flash if not ill run oem ballasts with perm 12v on ignition and then a trigger wire to turn the bulbs on.
