It doesn’t have to be loud to sound nice. I didn’t want an asbo
I will change the wheels back after the winter.

As for what’s next probably a 6 speed gearbox.

Oh yes Asbo & a bit of Flat Eric with the windows down.

Right is that because with the remapping of the engine, it just needs a 6th gear to stop it over revving?

Yeah 6 speed box will give me a little bit more power with a remap and less revving on motorways in 6th

How much would a 6 speed gearbox be do you have any idea?

Anything from £450 and up. All depends on the condition and what mileage the gearbox has done.
The one I need for my caddy is a MAW code 1.6 6 speed gearbox from a VW touran. Which is more or less plug and play.

This is easily one of my fav caddy’s on the forum. Well done for how its progressing

Sean, any news on the gearbox for the van?

Amazing you says it's plug & play. I remember changing the gear box in my Dad's Vauxhall Viva in the mid eighties, I held the gearbox up through the hole in the floor with a hose pipe, that definitely wasn't plug & play.

I know what you mean.
I used to help out my mates years ago changing engines and gearbox’s in Ford escorts and carpri’s
No wiring looms to screw you up

Did you use a rattle can to spray odd bits like the backs of the badges ? If so do you have a link to the correct colour? I’ve got a dog crate I want to do a tester on before I decide on wether to have it done properly or not .

For the back of the badges and in the engine bay I did use rattle cans.
