So I've just realised I've totally missed out on a build thread for my own caddy.
I'll go back through my old photos, many are already on here across different threads but I'll bring all together in this thread.
December 2016, I purchased a 2013 1.6 TDI Trendline from another forum member as a replacement for my 2010 which was getting on with 183,000 miles on the clock.
I Parked both vans side by side to transfer all the upgrades across.

Before transferring anything, a bit of a tidy up was in order.
First part to move across was the high level brake light cover from Van-X

It’ll be nice to see what you’ve done to your van and also what goodies you have. I’ve only ever seen the few snippets that you post here and there

Looking forward to this, it might even prompt me to do a retrospective build thread

First thing to get swapped over were my original VW Golf Edition30 Pescara 18's.
Then a safety modification to the bonnet pull linkage. These have a habit of splitting and leaving you with a lot of trouble to get in under the bonnet so a couple of cable ties around the housing keep it from splitting open and disconnecting.

While I had the opportunity, I stripped everything out of the front of the van and cleaned the lot.
I did add some additional sound deadening to the floor and wheel arches in the footwells but forgot to take photos of that.
I took the opportunity to run in some flexible corrugated conduits for ease future cabling.
One conduit is to behind the passenger seat for future audio (Amplifier etc.), the second is to the panel in the rear left load space which I have used for cables for a shark fin antenna.

That conduit idea is brilliant, Doc.

While the interior was still stripped I ran in the wire for the PTC heater and another 8 gauge power cable for future amp/battery installation from the main battery into the cabin.

I fitted the Discover Media head unit, New style centre tray and buttons along with my 3D colour instrument cluster as I put the interior back together.
Once I had the interior put back together, I fitted the TRC front splitter.

Headunit lools ace!
What's involved with fitting the discover media?
Would it only be possible on 2011 onwards or would pre 2011 be a possibility?
Im assuming that you had to start by removing component protection. Did you do that yourself?
