So guys I'm having a major problem that is proving to be a right pain in the A*** to resolve.
Going back a few weeks I reported my blower had stopped working & found out that reverse lights/reverse sensors & main beam wont 'lock' in fwd position on the stalk. Had 2 auto sparks look at it & both said BCM has fault. Bought new unit from VW & had it coded. Guess what still got same problems. It's been at repair shop for 4 weeks now & everyone involved is scratching there heads & we're no further on

Ideas anyone?

What year, model and engine size is in your caddy?

As doc says need more info also have you scanned it for codes

Thanks for reply. It's a 2014 1.6tdi highline. Scanned & no codes other than the front drl led's which I've had since ji put the lamps in 9 months ago.

I think your facing three different problems here.

The blower fan is quite a basic control, there is a fused supply to behind the passenger side storage box, from there it's a four step resistor or electronic control. First step would be to check for voltage (0v and 12v) at the block behind the storage box.

The reverse signal, if you have manual comes from a simple switch on the gearbox. On DSG this is a switch inside the gearbox.

The high beam not latching forward is a mechanical failure inside the stalk and will require a replacement.

I have this exact problem

No heater blower

No reverse light

No main beam on the forward push of the stalk

The flasher works pulling switch back.

I had same reply telling me it’s a BCM problem but I reckon it’s simpler than that

I would be forever in your debt for an answer

My blower was the same but it did work on setting number 4 sometimes. So may not be the same issue. But for £11 maybe worth a try.
I swapped out the fan resistor

I actually got it on Amazon! Was the cheapest and quickest £10.97.

This fixed my fan strait away.
It’s easy to swap on my touran dash it’s below the glovebox.

But if you are close / prepared to travel to Sheffield there is a wizard called Chris Bellman he’s online only and you can find him on Facebook. Just look for Bellman, auto electronics in Sheffield.
He is an absolute genius with electronics.

It might be a simple problem but one thing I can tell you, Chris will 100% be able to find it and resolve it.

You may just want to keep trying different things and get guidance from this. Very very knowledgeable bunch of guys on here. Or if you’re like me, you may want to just drive it to somebody and be done with the troubleshooting! If so, Chris is your man

In his words I’m not on auto electrician I specialise in auto electronics.

I have same problem on my 20016 Caddy:

- No heater blower
- No reverse light, sensor and washer
- No main beam on the forward push of the stalk
- The flasher works pulling switch back

I find that on the relay 644 on the coil contacts have 10V of power all the time, and the coil does not activate the relay.
This relay activates heater blower and nothing else,..

Any idea?

I’m late to the party, I know, but did you guys get to the bottom of this problem? I have the exact same symptoms. No main beam (flasher works fine) no fan, no reverse lights. Replaced, stalk, steering control module and Body Control Module, still problem persists. When plugged in to vag-com BCM recognises High beam on and high beam off with the operation of the stalk, but the lights do not respond.
I really hope one of you sorted it and don’t mind sharing. I’m a grand down and still can’t get an MOT… help !
