Some progress on getting the passenger mirror to dip when in reverse gear. I had the motor and wiring installed for a while now but couldn't get it to work, but after doing some coding in the Central Electronics module today I now have a new option for mirror lowering and when I put in to reverse the mirror moves to the left  But I think I just need to do some coding in the new Passat Door Control modules I have to flip the mirror controls and hopefully it will dip.

Hi Wayne, probably a bit off topic but I activated this feature on my rs3.
This was a hidden option that I was able to obtain from obdeleven.
I do find that once I have selected what mirror I want to dip, it never really seems to go back to where it was before either the memory function. It always seems ever so slightly off.
Do you notice this on your caddy mate?
Will say all my hardware is factory oem.

Hi Dan, I haven't got that far yet :( , but I do remember reading that this might be the case without memory seats, there may be a preset position if you don't have memory seats. Does your rs3 have memory seats?

Something I want to do on mine - is there modification to do to fit?

Just 2 modifications to the bulbs were needed:

The black plastic bulb base needs a small modification, you have to create a half circle in it so it keys in place like the 25W ones, when you compare the 35W and the 25W you will see what needs to happen. I used an old soldering iron tip to melt the base and form the half circle.

Where the headlight wiring set connects to the bulb base there is a small piece of plastic to be trimmed off so the wiring set connector can fit on to the bulb base.

I have them installed now and they defiantly help improve the field of vision, one thing I didn't do when I lowered the van was adjust the headlight range, I raised them up a bit now and thats helped a lot with the low beam field of vision.
