Engine bay looks nice mate, as do the wheels!!
I’m wondering about side bars myself. I don’t want to fit them if I can’t use the side jack. I’d be interested in seeing a photo too.

Of course, don’t want to be ripping them off on speed humps.

Hows the build going? I've had to wire one of the cam wires ,secondary coolant sensor so thats all good. got an issue with boost - need to check wiring back to ECU its showing 2 bar all the time regardless of plugged in or not , so thinking either a wiring issue or issue with the deimmo ecu map I bought. Also what have you done about the speedo pickup on gearbox I have no plug etc. Im running body ECU loom of SDI and TDI 105 loom engine side :) thanks in advance Dan

The paintwork is looking good. Good luck with fitting the new front and rear bumpers

@Dt33
hi mate i’m running the sdi loom with no mods apart from re pinning the egr valve signal wire from ecu to the pin for n75

gearbox i’m running 02m gearbox edc15 ecu (mk4 chassis ) use the gearbox for speedo and wheel speed sensors for abs

edc16 (mk5) use wheel speed sensors for speed so nothing to worry about mate

you shouldn’t need to wire anything different should all be the same

quick update , as iv not posted in a while ,

iv fitted the stance+ coilover kit they seem ok for the money i still drive over speed bumps like normal

engine is working ok , not to happy with the gt1856 turbo , seems to be fairly laggy and then has small
but if boost creep over 4300/4400rpm it's not holding boost stable like i'm asking for.

apart from that i'm fairly happy and i will next be sorting the body workImage

not update in a while so the engine dropped a valve clutch was also slipping like crazy so time for another build , will be back up and running soon,

see what power it can push , i have purchased my own chassis dyno so you will also be seeing some information on here about what power it makes and what changes have been made in this engine build

all the best

Hi all yes it’s back up and running

I had it on my dyno a few weeks back and it made just shy of 200bhp

Specs are the following
2.0 sdi engine
Gtd1752
12.9 head bolts
S3 intercooler
6 paddle friction plate
3” full exhaust

I’m now looking to polly bush
And bigger brakes as i would like to do a track day in the van

Can you shed any light on the re-pin for the EGR to n75. I can’t find any ecu pin outs for a bls ecu. Also if you use the Asz map sensor do you just need to find extend the wires of the original Sdi loom? I know these question get asked a lot but I don’t have access to the full forum and most people you ask insist on telling you that it can’t be done or I need to put a full loom in

Impressive build, gives me inspiration to convert my SDI. Keep up the good work

@L16atd

Why dont you just turn off EGR and dont mess with the wireing loom?
