Caddy Ecofuel Vans

VW have been trying to sell CNG Caddy Ecofuel vans in the UK for 3 years now. They have not sold many because there is no-where to fill up with CNG. A new CNG filling station has opened in Crewe which can now provide CNG to Caddy's. In addition, VW have 7 2nd hand Caddy's for sale. They have done 3-8,000 miles and are offered at 8,000 pounds
They are a year old.

The cost of the CNG in Crewe is 90 p per kg . VW say that the Caddy does around 18 km per kg. So this means it will cost 5 p per km or 8 p per mile for fuel.

The Caddy Ecofuel also has a petrol tank so if it runs out of Crewe CNG it can run on petrol.

If they run on petrol as this article from 2008 suggests then a year old van with next to no miles for 8k sounds too good to be true.
