Loom swapped tfsi caddy
Can anyone help with a few issues I'm having. I have heavy steering and can't access the steering angle sensor via vagcom. The van has a complete mk5 loom in it. DOC I NEED YOUR HELP

First place I’d start is looking to make sure the vehicle coded correctly for the Steering angle location dependant on which modules has been used.

What are the error Codes (typically found in address 44 steering assist): 02546 and 00778?

Thank you all I'm a old member just couldn't access old account I've had vag com done and we can't access the steering angle sensor on the options
1ko953549e that's the steering angle sensor part number i have. Doc, a few years back I met you to sort this issue on my 1.8 20v brown with gold if you remember. I'm wondering if all the components are talking to each other. I've been told mk5 golf has angle sensor in rack, so what if its a caddy rack and it can go on

I've seen thousands of Caddys buddy, I can't say I recall a 1.8 brown & gold.
If you can post an Autoscan, it will help identify what exactly is going on. I've never tried to communicate directly with a steering angle sensor, it's one of those things that I usually look at measurement from via ABS or Steering assist depending on which ABS is fitted.
You've tried the G85 calibration procedure on the Ross-Tech site?
