Impressive build so far! I've been tempted to go down the WAV route for the pros of side windows, tailgate, generally low mileage and extra space but are there many cons in your experience? How much does the lower body effect things - driving on uneven ground, probably accessing/maintaining parts under the van (I ask that as dropping the fuel tank to get a feed for a diesel heater looks a pain on normal van, I wondered if the lower body would make things worse).
Again, great build. Will keep an eye on your progress!

Some WAVs are better than others in my opinion. Brotherwood are the best and a few others are close.
Some designs like ride upfront and drive from wheelchair are not suitable generally in my opinion - Unless you need the particular design.
Fuel tank on my Brotherwood WAV is a flat rectangular stainless steel unit and looks like it drops much the same as normal - I will let a garage do this part as they have proper lift thingys - My little ramps aren't much use !
I find Pros are better headroom for near standing to do things like getting changed/dressed.
Ramp is great for loading a bike, fridge, cooker or washing machine (tested so far)
No way to add a towbar without blocking the ramp.

Re: Starlight Blue Caddy Life - Mk4 2K SA - WAV + Stealth Camper for One.
Switches all done and moved all the relays to the VW Relay area.
Fitted the ASR OFF button while tidying everything.
Fitted the Webasto (Wee Bastardo) using OEM mounts and a new washer water bottle.
Used official Webasto Camping heater pipes and check valves kit.
Couldn't do a full OEM install as the Mk4 CanBus controller throws a wobbler when you add an Aux Heater without having Climatronic AC !!!!
I have a simple On/Off install with a Fresh-Air fan option. A wireless remote is cheap and easy to add and I could also use a Webasto Timer or Telestart system, but they are pretty expensive and no real use for me.
Hope to post a full install write up at some point ............
Now have a (Cheap) Webasto TTC Diagnostic facility if anyone needs help in the West country area(ish).
Invaluable if trying to commission a new heater !

Really neat build!
Where did you find the nice plywood covered with some hexagonal rubber pattern? Would it be durable enough to use as floor in the "living area"?
In the "Dometic-picture" in the Pix.. -post it looks like you removed the RHS arch cover, and then installed some neat black plastic trim to cover the seat belt "roll". Which part number is that black trim?
Cheers Johan

Ta.
The ply is called Hexagrip - Phenolic coated birch ply from Finland !!!
Can be used as flooring - Not rubber though - Hard coating.
Anthracite trim is mentioned in many a thread on seatbelt covers.

Finland, that's great, then I might be able to source it here in Sweden, without customs and freight! :-)
Thanks for the excellent pointer wrt. belt cover trim!

Wisa Hexagrip
Comes in Grey/Brown and Brown/Brown as standard, but they do other colours as well (apparently).
I tried to get Grey/Grey but not available in UK except on special order.

Genuine Scirocco R Line 3D Colour Premium
Fitted into my CADDY Shell
Before
.
After
.
Scirocco R-Line Tell Tale Features
VW Blue Needles go through the centre.
Blue Line inside the Scale Line
200MPH
Petrol Only (6500 Red Line)
(Not a Caddy Foil - Fuel Filler is on the Right )
.
There are Scirocco 3D Colour clusters in Diesel and Petrol with a 180MPH scale that look just as good really (it is hard to see the thin blue line on the R version) and they look just as good with blue needles added.

Ta,
Must say a lot of the inspiration came from you Doc
Q. Doc
Have you heard of the trip decimal digit having a rolling over animation ?
Probably just that I hadn't heard of it.
Tickled me when I saw it.

Yea, the animated trip/odometer is not something a lot of people notice on these.
