Tbh, I had a little chuckle to myself....
Firstly I was thinking your fishing prowess was beyond imaginable when u said it's a wheel barrow so instantly I was thinking your either catching big fish or lots of fish or lots of big fish that required a wheel barrow to carry your keep ....
But then I thought it's probably just a medium for carrying all your equipment back n forth with the potential of a or or maybe

How the mind wanders

No one needs to catch too many fish, just a fair catch
but the pleasure of sitting / standing there with rod in hand is simply peaceful n to someone who doesn't fish can be seen as quite boring
When I used to trout fish back in NZ the rules where 3 on the bank maximum per day, great eating

Hi Lee, I use the trakker access barrow with a barrow conversion electric wheel setup. Nice bit of kit.
At the moment my fishing is on club lakes.
Local syndicates in Essex are either dead man shoe waiting lists or they want the price of a caddy to join them .
Been looking further a field for the future.

How does that work as a wheel barrow ?
Do u take the rear wheels off or does it only have the front wheel ?
Also, does your ramp just lean too / sit on top of your rear bumper ?
No fixing points as such ?
Are you afraid the weight of the barrow could do some damage ?

Also, what are the two rachet / tie down straps for and also how do they work..... Looks like a pulley system ?

I'm intrigued, how does your ramp affix the the car itself

Sorry to be so inquisitive n ask so many questions
I am planning to be loading and unloading a cart with about 200kg each day n potentially several times a day

I thought about motorbike ramps n an electric winch system of sorts or even an airbag of sorts to lift the ramps to level giving me the ability to push it in from there

Open to any thoughts, suggestions, points of view, ideas, tips, tricks, do's n don'ts

It’s a wheel chair accessible so put the Ramp down and push the barrow up, yes the seat belt stuff all electric was for the wheel chair passengers.

Hi stu, barrow works as a normal garden one, except my one as sides to hold the kit into place.
Don't tie it done in the back as there is kit wedged in to hold it all in place.
No real weight, maybe no more than 45kgs.

So u still need to lift the rear tires over the internal mouldings .... The axel of the tires looks too wide with the wheels ot is it just the angle ?

Can u also show me some full length pics of the ramp
Does it fold up before n after use ?

Can u show me a hinged photo during assembly as in the various stages of setting it up (or rather down) for when u go to use it
Can u show me how it gets stored
If possible underneath the ramp when fully down
Also side on view during the above

When u say u don't tie it down do u mean when you are all packed up n driving ...
It's wedged in with all your other kit

As for it sitting in the rear trim, that flate plate at the top of the ramp is where to load weight / force etc is dispersed as a fulcrum so there is little to no weight bearing down on the actual plastic number it is all transferred thru the flat plate on the rear metal sill

Stu, so when all my kit is in the van I pack it in such a way that it is all wedged into each other.
The only time I will strap my barrow to the tie points is when most of my kit is removed and I don't want the barrow from moving about in the back.
The ramps top plate rests on the trim piece. There are some strips of foam on the underside of this part.
Once in place, I then use the power of the barrows wheel to pull itself up into the van with myself as just the balancing point.
The weight beds down on the ramp and it's this that holds the ramp in position when taking the barrow out or controlling it up.
Never had an issue mate.

Yes the foam would stop it from moving

For me, in the scenario I'm trying to achieve is having a load going up n down the ramp weighing in at approx 200kg - it'll be like a dead weight not like a motorbike or wheel barrow

Are you still happy with the 60mm drop given that it’s a van for fishing and will be down all kind of tracks and roads? I’ll be mountain biking, so just a bit concerned I’ll have trouble with access.
