g,day ick or oz.
was wondering how you guys get on with lowered vehicles in oz. i know different states have different rules. whats the crack when you go to get the rego on them.?thanks.
like the camper conversion by the way. seen something like this(thats the bed and they also did cabinates ) in england at vanfest...well expensive . the bed was about £1500 thats over $2000 in your money is,nt it. they were german thou i think.
Hey Peachie , cannot speak for all the states in Oz but nothing is to project or hang beneath the rim of the vehicle , that being said the very low profile tyres would not be passed for rego on a Caddy as they have to comply with what is stamped on the compliance plate.
You are allowed some scope for wheel mods i.e. plus one or two in diameter and an extra inch in width (I think) but if the vehicle was not complied with a nineteen inch wheel you will be defected and dumped by your insurance.
To be sure you would have to check with the registration authority in the state you are living in
Distance Perth to Sydney about 4000 klm and about 40+ hours to drive , nice drive and you will see all our big brown land has to offer.
My wife said I do not listen
At least I think thats what she said
the caddy is factory vw camper no cabinates only the window bags. cars here can be bigger the factory but need to be engineered same as lowering but all need to be able to carry the original pay load ..
if your running non standard size wheels or its lowered, do people put the standard ones back on or raise the height back up each time they go for rego ? or would,nt you know. there must be a way around this??
