Ive been going back and forth between two different colors for months, but i have made my mind up now, but you will have to wait and see ;) 8)

The heater control panel is from a jetta mk6 with manual ac. It is a straight fit in the dash, but i'm probably just going to retrofit the knobs from it onto my stadard panel as i have a webasto diesel heater, and my panel has a button for that on it, so i would lose that function if i used the full jetta panel.
I can check the part numbers. This is a mod ive seen done before

Did not manage to get it in primer this weekend, but its ready to be primed!
It was lots of work getting to this stage.

The roof had like 7 dents and loads of rusty stonechips. Had to clean out plenty of surface rust along the windscreen flange also as the paint had been damaged in a previous windscreen replacement

More rust repairs.. Partially fabbed up new peices, and for some of the more complicated shapes i took em off, sandblasted and welded back on. Would have changed the panel, but i had no saved off cuts laying around. And with my luck my next job will probably be a right side caddy sill

Wow impressive work.
Looks like your van's days were numbered had it not ended up in the hands of someone skilled in body work.

Thank you!
Yeah it would have gone down hill quickly with the rust if left alone. But it honestly wasnt all that bad for a 2008 thats lived its whole life in Sweden, a.k.a road salt hell  once i'm done with this paintjob its never going to see use in winter time again for as long as i own it.

sadly just carbon look, but i think they are quite rare, came in the carerra cup edition caddys at least, maybe some others.
I'm probably not going to run a bulkhead going forward, as i dont haul a lot of stuff in it, and i plan on using it for light camping duties aswell, mainly at car events and such.

Beautiful seats, nice score. This is gearing up to be a quality build. Looking forward to seeing what else you have planned for it!

Thank you!

Still not been able to prime the body, its kinda crowded in the paintshop at the moment.

Managed to get a few small parts prepped and primed though, and started prep on some others.

Decent build thread so far, wish I had the time and patience to do the bits of body work on mine. Looking forward to seeing it finished
