Jay’s 1.6tdi Manual to 2.0tfsi dsg build

Post by J999YYL »

ImageHey guys!

Thought I would share my build here to possibly give inspiration and get inspiration from other people too.

So I’m currently at this stage, I’ve had & fitted:

•HD Caddy convert my 1.6tdi manual to a 2.0tfsi dsg
•Changed the Cam follower and oil pick up pipe
•Audi TT MK2 heated red leather seats fitted on touran bases
•Retrofitted the heated seat loom supplied by Andrew McKnight
•Fitted the Touran retractable armrest
•Fitted Pioneer Apple CarPlay headunit with MMB wireless CarPlay from Transporter HQ
•Fitted a Stage 2 Airtec intercooler
•Fitted a Revo oversized air intake
•Fitted a GFB Diverter Valve+
•I’ve had the balance shaft deleted using the VIS Freewheel
•Lowered it by 35mm with the VMaxx lowering kit
•Fitted a Forge PCV Delete (Still wondering if I should fit an oil catch can? Pros and cons?)
•Upgraded the door speakers to the Pioneer TS-A1675R and the sound quality is so much better than the standard ones ( You will need speaker adaptors and sound deadening is advised.
•Had a hybrid rear bumper made - MK3 Caddy/MK6 Golf GTI

I have ready to be fitted but trying to find the time to get it done:

•Miltek 3” decat downpipe
•Custom Exhaust to be fabricated for the dual exit on the hybrid rear bumper
•Full Hybrid KO4 turbo conversion kit
•A custom remap to suit the van once exhaust and turbo are fitted

What I’ve thought about but not sure on still: (Maybe some inspiration might change my mind!)

•Fully insulate and carpet the back?
•Lay vinyl on the floor?
•Sound system boot build?
•Air suspension?
•Touran rear seat conversion?

Feel free to drop your build and share it! Any feedback is welcome.Image

Hi mate, welcome to the forum.

Sounds like a pretty special van you’ve got there, what kind of power are aiming for once the next stage is done?

Any photos?

Thanks mate!

Aiming for around 350bhp at the moment. Don’t think the stock internals can take much more than that unless going down the forge route.

I would post some photos but i haven’t figured it out yet! I followed the thread on how to that I found on here but it won’t load the picture.

That’s gonna be a lot of fun! You’ll surprise a few hot hatches with that!
Most people use the Tapatalk app for uploading photos, it’s the easiest way I think.
