After getting 16mpg out of my car I decided I needed another vehicle that I could run about in and having owned a few caddy’s and remembering regretting seeing my last one drive away when I sold it I decided on another.
I found this on eBay as a wiring fault drove down to south Wales with my truck and picked it up.
It had been converted to a ASZ so was pretty much what I wanted
Couple more pictures these are from it’s for sale advert

After getting it back realised it was going to be a bent valve as it literally sounded worse when a tractor!
It took me a few weeks to find a engine one I bought I got of a mate who has a breakers with 83k on in the time it took to find engine I was out buying second hand “tarty “ up bits bought
Side bars £40
Rear lights £60 (there wrong ones but are staying till I get right ones
Front splitter £30
Spoiler I got new £50.
I got some sline leathers and steering wheel out of a a3 I stripped.
Any way engine time ! My one regret is that I didn’t jet wash it all down and make it look pretty but at the time I just wanted it to run and drive!!
So in a field (only place I could do it ) and using a tractor the engine was swapped !
