Front seats swap from 2014 golf into 2016 Caddy Maxi?

Hi folks

Just bought myself a 2016 Caddy Maxi, it's in great condition but front seats are unforgiving!!!

I have a 2014 Golf I'm about to sell, but considering swapping the seats between the two vehicles. Anyone know how direct a swap it might be???

The short answer is no. You need to fit Touran seat bases in your Caddy, then the Golf seats will bolt right in after you trim or remove the Touran base side plastics which get in the way of one of the mk7 seat rails. The Caddy seats cannot be bolted into a Golf because they are based on Polo seats which have different rails. The seat heating plugs will be different, and I am not sure if a 2016 Caddy uses the same mk7 airbag plugs (this is assuming your cars have seat heating and the Caddy has side airbags).

Did you fit the Golf seats in your Caddy?

Here my thoughts on this, if the Golf is in good condition you’ll struggle to sell it with mis matched seats.l I think. Don’t forget most people aren’t into modding cars, they just want to get from A to B. I’d sell the golf as is and just buy some seats on eBay along with seat bases from a Touran.
