lots of people have reported getting wear marks on paint from bonnet bras and stone deflectors. it's a judgment what's worse. if you have pristine paint and doing a multi-100 mile motorway trip, maybe worth putting on one.

For daily driver, waste of time for function.

As lockstock said they do cause marks on the paintwork I had one fitted until it broke had the bonnet resprayed and a month after had a stone chip where the deflector would have been so gutted so will probably get another one but it's personal choice either have a bit of rubbing where it sits on the bonnet or risk stone chips it won't stop them all but I'm sure it helps prevent some

just to add, you can get amazing PPE wrap now which is pretty much invisible. if stone chips are a concern, this is a better option than a bonnet bras

I’d rather have stone chips that nobody will notice than have one of them monstrosities stuck to the bonnet. They look hideous. Plus, what’s the point in them if you take it off and you’ve got worse marks than what stone chips make.

That’s my opinion on them anyway. Everyone has different taste though.

IMO, they look worse than the problem they are there to solve.

But someone else might think they look cool.

Ok I'm not going to bother with one now.
A:I don't like the look of them.
B:they can in some cases damage the bonnet anyway
C:makes cleaning and waxing awkward.
Thanks all.
