Is the Golf MK 7 armrest a straight fit onto a 2016 Caddy?

No, it’s not. For something that is a straight fit, you’ll need either a caddy life or a Touran armrest.

Excuse my ignorance, what should a noob look for when buying a Touran arm rest for a mk4 2016 Caddy, is there a specific model or year the armrest should come from?the swan fiend wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 4:26 pm No, it’s not. Not sure if what you are after, but in my searches for the same upgrade for mine, I came across this; https://www.armster.co.uk/shop/vw-caddy ... t-armster/

I wouldn't really recommend the armster version. The actual armrest is a nice bit of kit but the bracket is horrible and flimsy and drives you insane with the constant creaking

@Benson007
Any Touran armrest from 2003-2015 will fit mate. There’s 2 types, one with a fixed armrest and one with a ratchet that also moves in and out. That’s the preferred one to get IMO.
You will also need the support bracket that goes underneath. It sits around the gearstick/handbrake area.
I think there is a guide for fitting one in the how to section.

If you want it to match your existing dash i think only a mk4 caddy life has the right colour

If there’s a colour difference between the Touran and caddy dash, I can’t see it. Mines a 2011 model year.

Re: Golf MK 7 Armrest
Touran will be a colour match for a 2011 but he says he had a 2016 mk4 which will have a titan black dash I have a Touran armrest in my mk4 and it dosnt match drives me mad but the mk4 life armrest seem to be like hens teeth was just letting the op no that a Touran won’t match

Re: Golf MK 7 Armrest
I bought all the bits new from TPS; came to around £400 iirc. Couldnt find titan black used & none of the breakers with mk4 listed responded so bit the bullet. Only part I bought used was the actual arm rest cover itself as new leather ones are mad money
Caddy MK4 highline. Scirocco heated leather with electric lumbar & full elec drivers seat. ESP/ ASC button & coded. TPMS button & coded (ABS version). Carpet & insulation rear & Touran front carpet. Custom bulkhead. Tints. Front splitter. Side bars. 197hp map (on rolling road). Bi-xenons. Wireless charger. Laser grill led lights. Ambient lighting. Coilovers. Colour coded bump strips. Reverse camera. Front & rear sensors

Re: Golf MK 7 Armrest
Thanks for the replies and especially the info regarding colour. I'll try and source a Titan black one if not bite the bullet for new.
