Leaving home settings MFD

I enabled leaving home but it doesn't seem to work (well no lights on when I unlock lol) but just noticed the option is now in the MFD menu and I can turn it on or off and set the time to +10 / -10 seconds etc.
Question is, do I need to leave the light switch in the on position or just off as normal? I have the light sensor. Anyone who has this function I'd be interested in finding out how it works in practice.
I have an auto lights switch but haven't fitted it yet.
Cheers!

To make use of the sensor you need to install the auto light switch and have it in auto position.
Coming home lights is possible without the sensor/ switch but only as single use by flashing the highbeam stalk after turning off the ignition.
Leaving home lights I don't think is possible without the sensor/ switch.

Does this work on all models? Thought I heard it’s only possible on highline caddy’s?
I enabled it with Vcds and installed a aftermarket auto switch and it doesn’t work for me either (on a startline)

I'll fit the auto headlights switch and see what happens, I have a Startline on paper but it has the highline MFD and all the toys, cruise, elec windows, BT handsfree and full MFD from new so it must have been specified when buying.
Hopefully this is the answer. I have been able to code a lot of stuff like auto lock and unlock, dips on with high beams, needle sweep, ROTW clocks with MPH digital speed display, and selective locking from the MFD so far. My light sensor is factory and controls the dash lights from outside light levels so I expect the LH lights may work once I put the auto switch in.
