LEDs are cool. Doc scanned my caddy and found out that late caddys can accept led rear number plate bulbs without error messages appearing. Just needs vcds to activate it. I may get a vcds disk and lead. Only genuine one though. Heard a lot of horror story's in regards to cheap ebay chinesse ones

Hmm, wonder if mine comes under that. Even though it's a facelift, it's also one of the early ones. What should I be looking for in a scan?

Yeah, don't bother with Chinese cables. I bought genuine vagcom from rosstech. Been quite handy and its good they keep it updated.

Yet another update from the Reflex facebook page. I described this to a friend recently as similar to the longest striptease ever!

It's testing me :-)
I think we are good now though.
It's always the same with bespoke parts. That's what we do though so can't complain ;-)

If it's any consolation it does look so much better than when I dropped it off. I think it will be worth all the blood sweat and tears we've both given it when it's on, especially as I know its a seriously rare thing.

It's all prepped now. We want keep it factory looking by gloss blacking the main part and black texturing all the back half like the original ;-)

Wow! That sounds like so much more work. I did wonder if that was possible. By all means go gloss black on the whole thing if it starts to turn into a mission.

I reckon once mine and Matts are out in the wild, VW are going to get a lot of requests for the Cross kit in their parts departments! Might prompt them to release the Cross in the UK!!

They already have by the sounds of things. Been in my local one today, and they said parts of the kit are unavailable, with no updates as to when they might be available. Rear lights are apparently on backorder too...guess Matt has already exhausted the UK supply of them
