Re: What did you do to your van today?
Yes they are complete mirror caps not the covers that stick on, and yes real carbon fibre, not hydro dipped. The carbon on these looks really good, but the plastic bit at the edge looked awful. It had been filled badly and looks like it was painted with a paint brush. They were only £75 inc shipping so can't complain, I had planned to gloss them anyway so this wasn't a problem. The caps arn't genuine so you need to be careful with the clips as they snap very easily.

Powerflex poly bushed lower engine torsion support and fitted touran brushed headlight switch. Got to choose some wheels now. Its a working van so think 18's are my limit size wise. Any thoughts ?

I fitted a scirocco interior light today quite pleased with myself

I have a siren to fit next week so I will be also wiring up the ultrasonic sensors. As it works on the same Lin bus as the caddy

Today I have mostly been baking
..
Split my headlights, readying for painting and a xenon conversion..
Just can't decide what colour to paint the inners. Not wanting black, maybe a grey to compliment the van

But nobody cares about Melbourne Haha. It's going to be like that again here for a few more days, they keep going on about this 'heatwave' here on the news. I just thought it was part of summer like every year.dooka wrote:Only 42ºC, 49 in Melbourne..
