Re: Gen 4, Caddy Life,
Looks great, i was quoted January for a new life last month!
Not sure if you have seen the comments regarding the factory lowering kit, £220 for 10mm is a lot of dosh!

I know it's not that low, but judging by these pics below, the great looking blue Highline (a member in this parish) has lowered suspension and the silver one hasn't. I'm not into the slammed look and £192.5 compared to £620 fitted, is acceptable to me. Funny how the Vw configurator shows it how you might expect it to look

Re: Gen 4, Caddy Life,
Yes I agree, mine is slightly lower I believe as it the Bluemotion model and I feel it looks fine on the 17 inch wheels.
I have a giant scratch on my front spoiler that made my mind up to leave well alone. I park in some bad spots when I go out with the MTB so it needs to be practical. I have been considering leaving the double seat out to make it quicker to get the bikes in the back. It came with a roller blind rear parcel cover but this is in the garage and probably won't see the light of day until I sell the Caddy. Love the list of extras you have chosen and your colour choice. I use some Bosch alloy profile to make my rear racks and it's not to expensive.,I noticed recently that the xenon lights have been reduced but now don't include cornering fogs, a bit odd but VW do have some funny ideas.
Hope it turns up sooner than expected.

Re: Gen 4, Caddy Life,
Thanks, I've been back to the dealer, wanted to add app connect and rear camera before it was too late. Seems it wasn't, I've now been told my caddy has been delayed until mid February instead of mid DecemberGaj69 wrote:Yes I agree, mine is slightly lower I believe as it the Bluemotion model and I feel it looks fine on the 17 inch wheels.

Re: Gen 4, Caddy Life,
Mine just arrived . That was a January order .
We dropped the third row of seats and went with a rubber floor. Rest of spec was climate, 1.4 tsi dsg , xenons, winter , aux heater , leatherette seats . I also forgot app connect and am currently looking at options for enabling it . Also about to re jig aux heater as parking heater . So far very happy.
Yesterday was a bad day tho ! BT cable fell off house and bracket dented the front wing on a 1 week old car !

Re: Gen 4, Caddy Life,
That's bad luck and very annoying, I always seem to have one issue like this with every new car I buy. I'm not sure if it's just me been to OCD but it also really pisses me off when you find a scratch on your dash because the wife has dragged her stupid metal clad hand bag across it.
A few years ago I could not understand why the door card on my new new T5 was so marked until I witnessed her and said hand bag getting out of the van with the door only open about a foot as she had parked to close to the wall. I won't repeat what I said but it never happened again.
Now I have got that of my chest I will go for a lie down!!
