Next bit of progress, got the near side carpeted and the cover panel above the arch done. Sorry for the crappy pic the light wasn't that good by the time I'd finished!
Next up is to sort all the electrics, box in the arches and start sorting the roof lining.

@cy russ oh right never heard of using heat with the carpet, just vinyl and stuff. I don't know if it would be easier or not? Seemed to go on ok with a good dose of glue and some abuse!

Same as....and plenty of 'pokey' things!
I didn't use heat when I done mine and to be fair it's not the greatest of jobs. I was a bit concerned about using heat with the high temperature adhesive. I have more to do at some point so will try different pointy things
Bit more progress last night, carpeted above the rear doors, also took the rear door cards off and carpeted the hole doors. The still look a bit untidy as my last can of glue had a dodgy nozzle and was spraying everywhere and then ran out! I'll tidy the edges up when I get some more, then I can get the black film off the rear windows and get them tinted!
Little bit more progress tonight, got the 2 roof l-tracks trial fitted, they're just held on 4 bolts at the minute, I need to knock up some brackets to attach them to the other 3 cross members. Then I can get the roof lining cut and wired in.
Currently I am working on 61 Ex BG myself and was wondering if you have a plan to remove those silly little antennas from he roof. Personally they don't bother me too much but when I was about to wit a roof rails one of them was int he way. My initial thought was to remove the antenna all together and stick a backing plate, thin steel poece using JB weld and then work the surface out from above. Any thoughts pal?
@buczu83 cheers man, you got a build thread on yours? I was going down the same route as you ref the antenners, remove them completely, attach plate to the inside the fill and spray. I've seen someone on here did the same thing. Could be worth doing a search?
A couple of little mods this morning, swapped the boring og gear knob and gaitor for the knob and leather gaitor from a skoda Octavia E edition. Also got rid of the cigarette lighter and wired in a double USB socket and voltmeter.
@ilovefullstops cheers man, I don't know what racking and stuff you've got but in mine the racking was all just bolted together with m6 Allen heads then bolted to the floor through the lashing points, bulkhead is just m6 bolts down each side then a strengthening bar in the middle, all the original boarding in the doors and sides are just held on trim clips. Search ebay for trim clip pliers, they're about £4-£5 and the clips fly out (literally). You started a build thread?
