Swapped out an old TPMS button for a Comfort/Sport Damper
Button to switch the valve on my exhaust. Nice and discreet.

Hi All,

Not all today but still :) New to the forum and only owned the caddy now for 2 months now after selling my Stage2+ Golf mk5 Edition 30 for the practical caddy.

So far i have done the following to it...

- Retrofited HID's, Projectors and blacked out the original headlight's.
- Retrofited Midline MFD from Lowline, Will be upgrading again to Highline down the line.
- Retrofited Highline CECM
- Retrofited Cruse Controll and Highline SWCM
- Retrofitted Footwell Lights
- Retrofitted Rain and Light sensor with Mk5 Golf Auto Dimming Mirror.
- Enabled Auto Headlights, Auto Wipers and Rain Close.
- Insulated, ply lined and carpeted.
- VCDS Tweeks.
- Fitted CarComputer, Amp and Subwoofer from the Golf.

Enjoying the Caddy so far :)

Trimmed down my wind deflectors to allow my mirrors to fully fold so I don’t burn the motors out ImageImageImageImage

Only picked up my first caddy on Monday.

Thought about changing the gearbox tonight. Took one look and thought that looks like a tomorrow job.

I’ve been soundproofing the cab floor over the last few days. I will be starting the rear and the doors after that. ImageImageImage

Fare play, but thats a bit drasticImage, i had these on my 18 plate, no issues, mirror just used to gently come to a stop as it touched the deflector, no worries of burning the motors out etc.

You say no worries but there is a worry when the mirror fold motor is tripping out on its current limit rather than hitting the end stop. You may not have seen a degradation in the motor life but that's not to say it will never happen.

I agree with you there Doc.
@r1lea that’s a really nice job you’ve done there mate.
I’ve finished soundproofing the cab today. Took me a while around working night shifts, but it’s now done.

The reason i said no worries was because it was exactly that, mine used to just gently kiss the deflector as it came to a stop, if it had of forced itself into the deflector under force putting the motor etc under stress then id understand the need to either remove the deflectors or cut them down.
