Did a search and found this

“by turboDean Fri Mar 16, 2018

Then changed the interior bulds for LED.... i found with these they didn't turn fully off when the ignition was on but did when the van was locked, bit of research i found there are small leakage currents that are not enough to light a standard bulb bit will keep the LED on in a dim state, this is fixed by putting a load resistor in parallel with one of the bulb, so i soldered a 1k ohm 0.5w resistor to one of the bulb and all work well now”

The bulbs I got are also for number plate lights so have a resistor built in so as not to cause errors threw canbus

You might find a resistor used for error canceling is not ideal for this. Their residence will be quite high in comparison to the LED so in current flow terms there will be little or no effect.
Try a filament lamp in parallel with the LED, that should soak up the leakage current sufficiently to stop the LED illuminating to a visible level while not causing excessive heat.
