Brake pedal was going to the floor slowly when pressed, got a replacement master cylinder from scrap yard.

Unfortunately I know know that the master cylinder provided does not have electrical connection for the brake light! So after taking my old one out I have to go back to the scrap yard tomorrow and hope they have another one!

I put on the summer wheels. Now my caddy is on 18 inch. 😎 Just for the fun I also tested 20 inch wheels. They looked very good but the German tüv says: nein 😂
Nie i have to look, how to lower a caddy.

Sooo, strange one. I’ve got a 2.0l DSG. just pulled up to the lights after coming off the motorway and it just cut out and wouldn’t start for about 20 seconds. Full on panic as there were loads of cars behind, then it fired up and has been fine since. Any theories? Pretty sure the temp sensor is goosed as it takes an absolute age to show it’s at temp despite driving around for an hour. Could that have anything to do with it??

Strange indeed, did it go out on Start/Stop?
Possibly one of the ignition relays which has caused your issue.

Are you sure you don't have a failed coolant pump regulator as this normally causes the engine to be very slow to heat up? Is your engine due a timing belt and pump change?
It's not common for a temperature sensor to be slow to react and then show the correct temperature all of a sudden.

Thanks for the reply Doc. It doesn’t have stop/start it’s a 2013.
I’m going to have to get in somewhere and get it looked at (regarding temp gauge/pumps). It’s already had the timing belt and water pump changed about 20k miles ago but that was before I owned it about 4 yrs ago.

Got the sun visor fitted :D. I'm no longer blinded by sunlight getting in between the interior visors, so I'm well pleased.

They are bc racing coilovers. I’ve not had coilovers on anything before so nothing to compare to. But it’s not a harsh ride at all.

Been ticking off a few jobs on my recent 1st caddy purchase this week.

Mountain bike fork clamps fitted.
Replaced the dead leisure battery.
Today I removed the BG battery isolator and cleaned out the accumulated leaves and detritus from behind the scuttle. There was so much muck down there I am surprised that a few weeds hadn’t also taken root.
Plenty more to do but 1 step at a time.
