Toffee delights

Post by Lister79 »

Cheers mate.
I haven’t committed to redoing all the suspension yet, I need to decide what I’m going to do about the shows. There’s a couple I’d like to attend but not sure I want to commit all the time, effort and money required to make it show presentable. I’ll probably see how many chips etc i get between now and January and make my mind up then.

No I wasn’t aware of that mate, as I’m not active on Facebook. In what context are they using the images for? I wouldn’t have an issue if they were crediting the forum and the vans Instagram page, but it’s a bit poor if not?

Hi lister, your vans pics come up on van insurance adverts, and sometimes I reckon folks must screenshot your van probably on Google images and put a post up with your van as an example of looking for a modified van, pic for attention.
Definitely not caddy 2k forum advertising.
Just thought i should let you know mate.

Yeah that’s a bit poor, especially using it on insurance adverts. Do you know which company it was? Wouldn’t be so bad if they asked, or even better gave me some discount (if it was Brentacre)
Suppose I should take it as a compliment, wouldn’t take a lot to credit it though.

Toffee delights

Made a little collage of the different wheels and change in look the vans had. The more I look at them together, the more I’m swaying towards the OZ wheels (top right), being my favourite look. Which is strange, as when I first fitted them, I didn’t really like them. Also unfortunate as I no longer own them.

My favourite is the rs6 (I think) wheels. Bottom left. Have seen similar in 18” and quite fancy a set.

One of my halo DRL’s stopped working a few week ago due to a faulty Profile performance LED driver. With no stock in the UK I’ve had to drive around with the van looking like a shed with a light out. Thankfully I got chance to replace the driver today. Image. Apart from roof tiles falling on them, this is the first issue I’ve had with the lights since they were built by EM Tuning in early 2017. Really says a lot about the build quality Image.

Working again

Six years is good, especially in the aftermarket headlight game, some last six years.
The different design of driver would suggest the company have had issues with the older design.

P.S. Your Caddy was never a shed, just had a bit of a squint for a few weeks.

@doc Yeah I’m very happy with the 6 year trouble free use, a lot of run time. I was thinking the same about the driver when it came. The new one appears to be a vastly improved version (not that the old one was poor quality).

@Gmancan1 RGB leds aren’t really my style, I was given the option when I spec’d the lights years ago but didn’t see the need as I would never use them, and to date I’ve never once wished I had.

If you look very closely. You can see a bit of @DeanWhit’s and my van there. Congratulations Dean, our first feature!! It’s a shame your van was parked in the way Chris
