Caddy heater not working

Hi guys I have a 2010 caddy van and have no hot air coming out the blowers , I have done so many things to try to get it to work and I'm now running out of ideas

I have
Changed thermostat
Changed water pump
Flushed heater core and all pipes
Checked fuses and changed them for new ones
Checked motor all working
Checked switch behind dash to see if it's switching over all working

Running out of ideas any help would be appreciated thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Is your engine getting up to temperature?
Have you checked the pipes to the matrix are not blocked in the EGR cooler?

Hi yes flushed the core out and all pipes for the cooling system and yes the engine gets to temperature perfect

Strange that, there is nothing you haven't checked in that case.
If everything is running free, there must be some pipes reversed somewhere as the system is very basic.
Maybe try clamping the radiator hose to force more circulation though the engine and matrix.

Just to clarify, there's air coming out but its not hot? Or there's no air coming out?

Could be worthwhile revisiting the controls.

The hot/cold air dial drives a flap on the RHS of the heater box.

If your controls are mechanical (flexible drive cable from the dial to to the flap via a few lever arms) you can see if they’re connected and working if you remove your glove box and look to the top/bulkhead side of the heater box. You should be able to see if the flap is moving, it could be stuck/disconnected and not moving from the cold position

If climatic/climatronic the linkages are replaced with a small drive motor, still to the top/bulkhead RHS side of the heater box, you should also be able to see and hear this moving the flap.

Something like the image below, this shows the climatic motor and one of the levers disconnected as well as the passenger side footwell ducting removed for access.

thanks for that its all linked up but noticed something while out on a drive tonight,heater hot when blowers off so on 0 but goes cold when you turn blower on either 1,2,3,4 starts blowing tepid then cold ,

Sounds more like your heater matrix isn’t getting enough hot water/water flow and it’s cooling down when you increase the air flow across it.

Could be that the heater matrix is partially blocked or not getting adequate flow.

Might be worthwhile back flushing the heater matrix by disconnecting the 2 pipes (#21) on the bulkhead in the engine compartment and flushing with a hose, it’ll be messy mind you!

is this related to it did a scan on it with this being the only fault on vcds

Anyone got pictures/diagrams of which hoses go to the heater core from the engine bay? I'd like to flush out mine at some point, I think.

Hi there. Im new here. I want to know if you solved your problem? I have the same problem on a caddy maxi 2008 I just bought. The 2 pipes entering the car is hot.... that yellow lever gets activated as you set it hotter. Very little heat comes out the blower. Thanks

For flushing a heater core use bottom hose of a core to give pressure to flush backwords.
