Insured it . I was expecting to get shafted due to the engine swap, but Brentacre gave me a decent quote and I can make any cosmetic changes without an increase in my premium. They've also put an aftermarket exhaust on the policy, so it would be rude not to.......

Must admit, the guys I spoke to on the phone knew their stuff, which makes a refreshing change! A very simple process all in all, even sending in the usual documents was nice and hassle free. You must've had to write an absolute novel on their "modified vehicle report form" though .

Finally think iv got to the bottom of my weird switchback flashing timing, with the addition of a few resistors, so even with the engine on, the flashes are always in time with the headlight Indicators.... So far... Fingers crossed, but it seems to work alot better ImageImage

@Bahnstormer it was quite a list Image but I'm glad I gave them a go, I found a slightly cheaper one on moneysupermarket but as soon as I called them up and added the vinyl wrap they wanted about £700 more?!?! Insurance is madness! Image

Took it for it's first real drive on the road as final check for the MOT tonight. I'm pleased to say the test drive passed without any incidents, although I can't get that bloody ABS light to switch off - the van is demanding a system function test, which I've tried but to no avail. Having said that, I was being cautious as it's not really supposed to be on the road yet. The MOT place is next door to a massive open car park so I'll give it another go in there before they test it.

I'll report back later!

EDIT:

Well..........

IT'S ROAD LEGAL!! :D :D :D

Picked mine up, 226 mile round trip from bucks to Oldham to get it. Tomorrow, sound proofing time!

Also, Gazza, swear I saw you on the M1 northbound a little after 8AM this morning going past Milton Keynes

Replaced the rear brake pads after one disintegrated whilst I was driving home from Halfords (after getting a free AC re-gas :D :D ).
