I am asking you about replacing the meter. I currently have a basic computer with my 2011 Caddy, I would like to replace it with a slightly more advanced one. I have VCDS and I'm fairly familiar with it, but how should the replacement be carried out so that there are no accidents? Thank you in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum.
You find that since the change in VW immobiliser system in 2007, VCDS just won't do what you want. You will need an alternative system which can read and write to the instrument cluster (NEC type in your case).
The equipment is expensive so you may be better off finding someone with it who can do your swap as a service.

I am in Poland, near Poznań. Of course, I will look around for people who know the subject. Although I must admit that simply switching and enabling a few options through the program will help solve the problem.
