Re: What did you do to your van today?
@ swan - yeah I did read that before but it's nice to hear it from another reputable source .... I think that might be my best option
I don't know if I have heated seats option / look or even airbag ....
I think I might take a seat inside an A1 to see if I like them n then keep my eyes peeled for a suitable set

My Caddy Life (Mk4) has Touran bases as standard.
Audi A1 (pre latest gen.) fit smaller/lower/narrower Caddy standard bases.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Over past week:
Caddy life silver door handles
Caddy life silver dash trims, then painted to match the door handles
Caddy life door card arm rests reupholstered in leather to match the scirocco seats
Touran armrest, & centre console, leather to match scirocco. Wired in rear lighter just because...
Led behind interior door handles & in door bins
Passat W8 light with ambient downlights
Caddy Alltrack rear bumper
Scirocco headlight knob with silver centre
Chinese electric seat switches with silver
Painted the centre console / radio surround, lower button panel & door pull outers to silver to match rest of trim
Washer fluid sensor
Golf mk7 puddle lights
Window switches with chrome tips
Rear door handle for interior
GTI pedal covers
Caddy mk3 door lights
Replaced door speakers & tweeters (had already installed some in rear & sub under seat previously)
Managed to source some new old stock sun visors with lights in too
& most importantly, LED in the steering wheel so I can now tell when the heated wheel is active & not
Still waiting on the alltrack side skirts to arrive & admitted defeat with the fender flares so cancelled the order through TPS & gone for the vanstyle ones instead due to supply issues from Ukraine. Hoping to get these bits on in the next couple of weeks. Think thats about it so certainly a productive couple of LONG nights. Does help having a lit, heated unit though tbf

shame we are opposite ends of the earth
or I could make u an offer !!
yeah comfort has to be a high consideration
I would think they are better than the stock standard Caddy seats, but that said, I find my seats actually quite comfortable so anything extra woiuld feel almost luxury hahahaaaaa

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Funnily enough I don’t find my stock seats too bad, not had the caddy long and I thought the seat upgrade almost a must given the amount of people changing them. For me the only criticism is on the stock seats is that they’re a bit narrow so there’s not much room for slouching about in the seat and it’s not like I’ve got a fat arse eitherstu_b wrote:shame we are opposite ends of the earth

@Stu
Meet you halfway !
Changzhi, China apparently
Other Caddy-Std-Width runner seats are Seat Ibiza4 (FR are nice) and Polo 6.
They all changed about 2018 I think.
I have also fitted Tiguan 2 seats (V.Comfy for me) on Caddy bases with only minimal work narrowing the rails !?!

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Carpet lining arrived this morning so obviously its pouring with rain. instead I consoled myself with bunging on the new handbrake button (it's shiny and silver without the annoying scratch down the front). Also bunged on some wind deflectors, just deciding what else to do in the front. Either new seats or covers will be in the near future though.
